Allow for longer messages to forums cause the 500 characters limit is frustrating since member cant see how many characters they use while texting our in general...

It would be helful to know how many many spaces/letters we can use.
A simple program that counts down from 500, in the way twitter does so you can edit your post based on how many spaces you can use beforw sending it.

500 characters encourages members to post shorter messages, so we can process requests more quickly.

Although we discourage it, if absolutely required, members can post more than one message in a row.

We didn't code the forum. If you need a counter, there are various online tools...

There is no to add the character count features in forums posting as Twiter has.

Thousands of people use this counting characters tool to count the numbers of their content words, characters, and letters.
